Toilet Repair by Local Plumbers

A toilet that won’t flush, keeps clogging, runs constantly, or starts to overflow can quickly disrupt your day. Christian Brothers A/C, Plumbing, and Electrical provides toilet repair and drain cleaning throughout the Phoenix Metro Area for problems ranging from simple component failures to more stubborn blockages.

Our licensed plumbers will inspect the toilet, identify what’s causing the problem, and complete the repair or drain cleaning needed to restore reliable operation. You’ll receive upfront pricing before work begins, and if replacement makes more sense than repair, we’ll explain your available options.

Toilet Problems We Repair

Some toilet issues are caused by worn internal parts, while others point to a clog or problem farther into the drain line. We repair:

We’ll determine whether the problem is isolated to the toilet or connected to a larger plumbing issue.

How We Repair Toilets

The method we use to repair your toilet depends on what’s causing the problem and where it’s located. Our plumbers may use one or more of the following repair methods:

For minor clogs that have moved beyond the toilet and into the connected drain line, we may use a drain snake to clear the blockage and restore flow. Snaking is often effective for localized buildup or smaller obstructions that don’t require more aggressive drain cleaning.

For more stubborn toilet clogs, we can use a toilet auger to reach deeper into the trap and break apart or retrieve the obstruction. This method gives us more reach and control when a blockage is too severe for basic clearing methods.

For stubborn buildup or recurring blockages deeper in the drain line, hydro jetting may be appropriate. High-pressure water is used to clean the inside of the pipe and remove accumulated debris.

Worn or failed parts such as flappers, fill valves, flush valves, seals, or supply connections can cause running, leaking, or flushing problems. We can replace the affected components and restore proper operation.

Leaks around the tank, base, or water supply may require replacing gaskets, seals, fittings, or other connections. We’ll locate the source and complete the repair needed to stop the leak.

When Toilet Replacement is Necessary

Repair isn’t always the best long-term option. Replacement may make more sense when the toilet is cracked, has developed recurring leaks or clogs, or requires repairs often enough that continued service is no longer practical.

We can remove the old fixture, install the new toilet, connect it properly to the existing plumbing, and make sure it’s flushing and sealing correctly before the job is complete.

What to Do if Your Toilet Is Overflowing

If the bowl is filling instead of draining, stop flushing. Turn off the water supply valve near the toilet if you can do so safely, and keep additional water from entering the bowl until the problem can be addressed.

An overflow may be caused by a clog in the toilet itself or a blockage farther into the drain system. We’ll locate the cause and clear or repair the affected area.

Frequently Asked Questions About Toilet Repair

Recurring clogs can be caused by too much waste or paper, an object lodged in the trap, buildup in the drain, or a problem farther into the plumbing system.

A running toilet is often caused by a worn flapper, faulty fill valve, incorrect float setting, or another component inside the tank that isn’t shutting off properly.

Weak flushing can result from low tank water, clogged rim jets, a worn flush valve, or a partial blockage in the toilet or drain line.

Small component-related leaks may be repairable, but a crack in the porcelain itself often means the toilet should be replaced to avoid continued leaking.

Replacement may be the better option when the fixture is cracked, leaks repeatedly, clogs frequently, or needs ongoing repairs that no longer make sense financially.
